I joined the Publican as City & Business editor in May 2005. In a previous life I was an investment analyst before turning to journalism in 1995. I wrote about the accountancy profession before coming to my senses and writing about the business side of the music industry for eight years. Covering the pub trade seemed the next logical step. When Im not working I ride a Triumph 955i ST motorcycle; my favourite colour is blue, as worn by Chelsea FC, and despite the man's current penchant for looking like an extra in a Robin Hood film I think ex-Deep Purple axeman Ritchie Blackmore walks on water...
