The Publican Awards: And the winners are...

More than 1,800 people saw the pub trade’s finest recognised at The Publican Awards in Central London.

Comedians Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins were the hosts at the Grosvenor House event, known as the Oscars of the pub world, as 19 awards were handed out to the cream of the UK’s licensees and pub companies.

Among the winners were Christopher Lewis of the Swan, Stafford, who was named BII Licensee of the Year, Shepherd Neame, awarded Regional Brewer of the Year and Fuller’s, which won Pub Company of the Year, Tenanted/Leased (200+ outlets) and Managed (100+ outlets).

    The Bluebell Henley - a well well deserved winner! Gorgeous surroundings, great atmosphere, delicious food and a great wine list! What more could anyone want?... Oh yes ... the best host and hostess in Duncan and Leigh you could imagine!

    I'd like to Thank everyone who was there on Tuesday (especially Fairy and the lovely people from William Murray) for an absolutely amazing night out, I never came with any expectations of winning Bar person of the Year award, but it is truly be biggest honour of my life, and I am so grateful for this award.
