Pubco says event is world's biggest international real ale festival
Beer enthusiasts will be able to enjoy up to 50 real ales from across the world during an 18-day festival at Wetherspoon pubs.
The event, billed as ‘The world’s biggest international real-ale festival’, runs from Thursday October 30 until Sunday November 16.
Brewers from Australia, Denmark, USA and Japan will be brewing their festival beers at English breweries.
Mikkel’s Viking Return (Denmark) is being brewed at Cumbria-based Jennings, Yo-Ho Yona Yona (Japan) at Wolverhampton-based Banks’s, Barons Black Wattle Original Ale (Australia) at Kent-based Shepherd Neame and Firestone Walker California Pale Ale (USA) at Burton-on-Trent based Marstons.
Anker Gouden Carolus Ambrio (Belgium) and Namyslow Original Plum Beer (Poland) will complete the overseas line up of cask-conditioned beers.
Wetherspoon festival organiser Jonathan Yates said: “The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers in our pubs.”
