Sharing at the Slug

9 October, 2009

Menu makeover for town centre bar chain

The Slug and Lettuce is revamping its menu for the Autumn/Winter season, based on comments from more than 200,000 customers. online.

The new menu at the 81 bars, owned by Bay Restaurant Group, includes 33 new dishes and more starters and sharing platters.

There is also a move towards dishes from around the world including Greek style Chicken Soulvaki, Asian influenced dishes such Eastern-style Ramen, vegetarian Channa Daal and Chicken Tikka Makhani.

Nicola Stuart, brand manager, said: “We got a great response from the website and it’s definitely something that we’ll do again.

“As the winter months draw in, we need to offer dishes that will reflect the change in season, so there’s a greater emphasis on warming dishes.

“What we did find from customer feedback is that people are looking for more sharing options.

"They want to have a drink after work with their friends and colleagues and are looking for something to share whilst enjoying a drink or two, so we’ve introduced a wider selection of platters to help bridge that gap.”
