Gooch and Hussain launch Wetherspoons Festival with a pint of Pedigree
Cricket legends Nasser Hussain and Graham Gooch officially launched the Wetherspoon’s Ale Festival celebrations last week.
The former England captains were guests of Marston’s Pedigree at the Crosse Keys pub in the City of London to mark the two week celebration.
As well as Pedigree – the official beer of the England Cricket Team – drinkers will have the chance to taste 50 real ales from across the world during the festival which runs until November 15 at Wetherspoon pubs throughout the UK.
Des Gallagher, Marston’s marketing manager, said: “Supporting a festival like this is incredibly important to us – any event which highlights the range and diversity of our national drink should be supported by breweries. “
The beers on offer have been sourced from brewers in New Zealand, USA, Japan, Czech Republic, Poland and Belgium.
