Halewood's hot brand in new ads and sponsorship deal with British Comedy Awards
Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer has gone on TV in a campaign that distributor Halewood International believes will hit 60 per cent of the adult population in the run-up to Christmas.
Running across ITV1, Channel 4, Five and all the major satellite channels, the ads see a retro couple, “George” and “Camilla”, starring in a Crabbie’s ‘cookery style’ lesson in a playful twist on the traditional 50’s marriage.
The 20 and 30 second commercials form part of a wider campaign that includes radio advertising and sponsorship of the ITV1 British Comedy Awards, hosted by Jonathan Ross on December 12.
In addition, Michelin-starred celebrity chef Atul Kochhar has been named the UK Ambassador for the brand.
Richard Clark, Halewood International’s head of innovation, said: “The combination of the sponsorship with television and radio advertising will make Crabbie’s one of the most high profile brands during the crucial Christmas trading period where we believe we will steal significant market share in the over-ice categories in the on and off trade channels.”
