Brewer links up with Flintoff and co in new three year deal
Brewer Daniel Thwaites has signed a new three year deal with Lancashire County Cricket Club – as Freddie Flintoff agreed to play for the club next season.
The six-figure deal will see its flagship beer brand ‘Wainwright’ replacing 'Lancaster Bomber' on the club’s playing shirts.
Thwaites has targeted cricket as the sport where it can best promote its cask and premium bottled beer. Its deal has been boosted by Flintoff's decison to play one-day matches for the county.
Commercial Director Sue Allen said: “We know the sponsorship has paid dividends for us in previous years and now with Freddie committed to play and the coverage he gets, the national exposure for our Wainwright brand can only increase.”
