Travelodge to stock CAMRA's Champion Bottled Beer

27 July, 2010

Budget hotel chain will stock winning brew from next week's GBBF

CAMRA’s Champion Bottled Beer of Britain 2010, to be announced next week, will again be available at Travelodge hotels, the budget chain has confirmed.

Travelodge, which is continuing its sponsorship of the award at the Great British Beer Festival , said it will be stocking the winning brew at its Bar Cafes across the UK.

The group said last year’s winner, Titanic Stout, proved so popular that it sold out within weeks.

“Titanic Stout went down very well with our customers last year, so it was an easy decision to agree to sponsor the Champion Bottled Beer of Britain award again this year,” said Paul Harvey, Travelodge’s managing director.

“The popularity of ale is growing amongst drinkers so I am delighted that we will be able to offer our customers the best bottled beer in Britain.”
